First I have to say, that you guys did a great job with this website!
I'm Clay, I live in northern Europe, and I'm lactose intolerant. I know that since a couple of years and I di live very well with that condition. Well...now... there was a time, where I hated it!
But you get used to it, and a couple of weeks after diagnosis, you start feeling better. Couple of years later, it's just normal.
The biggest problem for me was, that the people around me had a problem with me beeing lactose intolerant. It wasn't me, having a problem! So for all out there who just got the diagnosis: If you have any question, I'd be happy to help you!
So good luck for your project, hope it grows well!
I'm lactose intolerant as well as Fructose intolerant and I agree with you. My family admitted they didnt like having me over because I have so many food restrictions and they felt they didnt know what to cook for me. Once I went to a family dinner and they basically didnt even bother cooking anything for me to eat. That hurt a bit but I can understand how overwhelmed they felt because frankly I feel overwhelmed myself.
I am histamine and fructose intolerant. I have had very similar experiences. People did not want to belive me at the beginning, and others thought I was going to die if they gave me the wrong food. It is very frustrating that so many people don't know about it.
wow. I was so suprised to find that homepage. fantastic!
I'm from germany, so I hope you understand my (bad) english. I'm lactose-,fructose-,sorbitol- and histamine intolerant. I'm also gluten intolerant.
with lactose and fructose intolerance I can live really good. my biggest problem is the histamine. and the people around me. intolerances are very unknown. so I had always problems that friends, collouges (is it written right?) and doctors believe me.
